Musician Biographies
Tim Urban – Lead, Rhythm Guitar, Background vocals
Tim is from Leavenworth, Kansas. Being one of the founding members of the band, his aim was to help create a multi-genre cover band that could appeal to everyone in attendance. A self-taught guitarist inspired by friends, he began his musical journey playing while in college with his influences being Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Kiss, and Metallica.
A music lover at heart, he strives to add as much detail and energy into each and every show. His goal is to give those watching a trip through time and genres with each performance. “I want people to hear songs that tap into their memories”. He has performed in multiple bands in his youth and loves being on stage. Tim is
primarily a rhythm guitarist, but doesn’t mind throwing in some lead, vocal, and solo work as well. Though his background is mainly Hard Rock, his love for music
is apparent with how he mixes different elements into each song that he plays. He also uses his artist background in creating flyers and artwork for the group.
Justin Vickers – Vocals
Always the class clown, the tambourine man and historian of song lyrics and movie quotes, Justin was born in Pomona, California. After relocating to Kansas as a 4-year-old with his family, he discovered music at an early age. The sounds of the Beatles, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and the Motown “sound” could be heard blaring from the windows of his childhood home. He performed in front of a crowd for the 1st time in 6th grade, when he performed “Yakkity Yak” by the Coasters and got a standing ovation! He would receive another in High School when he performed 3 songs by Alice in Chains at a local party hosted by friend.
Justin has a wide range of musical influences ranging from Fran Sinatra to Slayer as well as country, punk, and all points in between. This love of multiple music genres assists with the band being able to perform the variety of music they accomplish.
Tom Langenberg – Lead, Rhythm Guitar
Currently residing in Olathe, Kansas Tom spent significant time in the Mesa, Arizona area. Some previous projects include: Ravages of Time, a Hard Rock band and Lone Ryder. A band formed out of the ashes of Ravages of Time, best described as a hard hitting Blues based Rock band. His playing style is best described as “Black Sabbath meets the Black Crowes, with a little Metallica”. Which fits his most recent past project called Lizard Shake. Ep’s released and available through various formats.
Major influences are Tony Iommi, Zakk Wylde, Doug Aldrich, John Sykes, Mike Ness, Ace Frehley, Marc Ford, Joe Perry and Ted Nugent.
Cory Mims – Bass Guitar, Vocals
Cory is a high-energy singer, self-appointed Bass Lord and Guitarist blending the swagger of '80s rock with the fast-paced attitude of pop-punk. His music delivers catchy hooks, powerful riffs, and heartfelt storytelling that bridges classic rock energy with modern urgency. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas he has been surrounded by music his whole life. From singing in Church with His Grandmother, Learning piano from his Mom, to jamming at open Mic’s with Local Musicians, Cory attributes his talent coming from his mom but taste in music from his dad. If he wasn't actively playing in a band he was going to as many shows as he could, Cory is a former soldier who picked up the guitar during his time in the Army and channels a diverse range of influences into a sound all his own. Drawing from the rebellious spirit of outlaw country greats, the raw power and attitude of Aerosmith, the melodic pop-punk punch influences of Fall Out Boy, Blink 182 and the soulful grit of Sam & Dave, Otis Redding along with many Irish artists, he Loves music that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Expect big choruses, driving rhythms, and Vocals that mix vulnerability, humor, and real-life reflection.
Now based in the Leavenworth area (with recent shows in places like Corpus Christi, Little Rock, Dublin California, and Guantanamo Bay), Cory is a dedicated
family man and tone-chasing gear enthusiast who balances life as a musician and Harley mechanic. He has built a growing following through passionate cover performances and is currently focusing on bringing the energetic deep sounds and crowd engagement that captures his unique musical DNA. His live sets are energetic and engaging, whether delivering high-octane rock or more laid-back moments Cory Truly Believes that it’s not about the Fame, it’s the quiet Moments with fans between sets and Having the Best time on stage. With high energy, powerful vocals and a relentless work ethic forged in the military, Cory is an artist on the rise—bringing '80s-inspired rock and pop-punk into the present with authenticity and heart. Keep an eye (and ear) out for him in SouthBound’s Rhythm section.
Geo Schildhouse – Drums, Percussion
Every back beat either recorded or played live on stage can not only be heard, but felt by anyone within earshot. While always maintaining the groove, Geo insists on
playing for the song. Whether it’s using his full Gretsch maple kit, a smaller jobbing set up or some hybrid in between, the back beat will always come through.
Geo was born in Chicago, Illinois and initially lived in an area called Morgan Park. While financially struggling, his family eventually scraped enough together to finally
move to the suburbs. Being in the heart of the city or the suburbs, this Chicago blues sound made a lifelong impact.
While playing music and honing his skills, he learned that the overall sound of the drums was a very important element and should not be left solely in the hands of
the sound man. He worked to develop the best sounding drums he could possibly get. The use of different heads on various drums, coupled with different microphones was providing the best sound. This along with experimenting with various types of muffs, sticks and percussion provided the exact sound he was
looking to achieve. To help support this, he eventually began working at local music stores for the discounts available. As he quotes “The groove is essential to music. The interaction of the drums; how the kick and snare drums work together is critical. AND… drums are made to be hit! I love the way drums sing when they are played correctly”.
After attending the American Conservatory of Music (studying percussion), he began playing professionally in Chicago. He also taught lessons and worked at local music stores in the greater Chicagoland area. He worked with various artists always playing for the song. After leaving the Chicago area, he continued to play music and support local musical events. His love for music will never end and will continue to play all styles of music. Live performance will always be his passion and a love for the blues will remain a part of his soul.
